Victoria Novak is an associate at Taylor Oballa Murray Leyland LLP. Her practice focuses on all aspects of the film and television industries, as well as music, new media and other arts industries.

Victoria acts for a wide variety of clients, including film, TV and new media producers, musicians, photographers, dancers, and trademark and copyright owners. As well as extensive experience drafting and negotiating licensing agreements, rights assignments, copyright infringement notices, Victoria also works in multiple of other intellectual property related fields.

A graduate of the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, Victoria also earned undergraduate degrees in music and political science from McGill University. Victoria has spoken on many panels at music, film and new media conferences, and has led several seminars on the ins-and-outs of entertainment law. Victoria is currently President of the Board of Directors for Opera 5, a Toronto-based independent opera company.
